When
your children come home with school pictures, awards, certificates,
ribbons, report cards, team photos and other mementos to cherish throughout
the years, where does it all go? On the refrigerator, in the junk
drawer, the old shoe box, or the baby book that is about to explode?
Or maybe you are going to make that elaborate scrapbook but never
seem to find the time. That is the reason Alice Dawson of Richmond,
Texas created the Through The Years® Memory Album to help with
this task of where to store it all!
Dawson had special keepsakes and mementos she wanted to keep for
the two children, Kyle and Elizabeth, but could not find a product
on the market that would fit this need. She decided to make her own
album, but knew it had to be more than just a scrapbook.
Dawson
wanted an album that was practical, efficient, and photo safe. After
months of trial and error she designed a rough draft of how the album
should look and function. Her husband, Scott, encouraged her to have
it professionally manufactured and share her idea with other parents
knowing they too had the same need. Today, Dawson has sold thousands
of Through The Years® Memory Albums from coast to coast.
Through The Years® Memories Albums are now marketed at craft
shows throughout the United States and sold via the Web. The one album
Dawson originally designed to help her keep up with her children's
keepsakes has evolved into a business that manufactures and markets
thousands of memory albums a year. And, as one of the most popular
children's memory albums available today, there's no telling where
Through The Years® will be tomorrow.
